We provide immediate care to address pain quickly while helping you feel informed and supported throughout the process.

How To Get In Touch With The Practice

During Business Hours

If you are experiencing a dental emergency, please call us at (303) 228-0224 to make an appointment immediately. We set aside time in our daily schedule specifically for emergencies, which often allows us to offer you a same-day appointment.

Outside Business Hours

If the unexpected happens after we have gone home for the day, you can schedule a new patient appointment online to make sure we see you first thing tomorrow morning. In case of a severe situation where you are having a hard time catching your breath or notice swelling that feels like it is moving toward your throat, please head straight to the nearest emergency room right away.

Issues You May Be Experiencing

Dental emergencies come in many forms, and we are prepared to handle the unique needs of your smile

  • Severe Toothache: Excruciating pain that disrupts your peace of mind is your body’s way of asking for help. We focus on identifying the source and ending the discomfort.
  • Knocked-Out Tooth: Time is the most important factor here. If a tooth is knocked out, we work quickly to try and preserve it.
  • Broken or Fractured Tooth: Whether it is a small crack or a significant break, we can assess the damage and find the best way to restore your tooth’s strength.
  • Lost Filling or Crown: A missing restoration can leave your tooth feeling sensitive and vulnerable. We can protect the area and get your smile feeling whole again.
  • Dental Abscess: Swelling and infection require immediate intervention to protect your overall health and alleviate pressure.
  • Soft Tissue Injuries: Trauma to the soft tissues of the mouth, such as lacerations or tears to the lips, cheeks, or gums, should be promptly assessed and treated to ensure proper healing and prevent complications.
  • Dislodged or Loose Tooth: When a tooth becomes partially displaced or loosened from its socket, prompt care is crucial to prevent further damage and increase the chances of successful repositioning.

Answers for Your Uncertain Situations

We know the first few minutes after an accident can be stressful, so take a deep breath and follow these simple steps to stay at ease as you travel to see us.

If a tooth is knocked out: Gently rinse the tooth with water to remove any debris, but be sure to hold it by the chewing surface and not the root. If you are able, try to place it back in the socket or keep it moist in a small container of milk until you reach our doors.

If you notice swelling: You can calm the area by applying a cold compress or even a bag of frozen peas to the outside of your cheek. This helps manage inflammation and provides a natural numbing effect to make your journey here more comfortable.

If you are managing pain: You can use over-the-counter pain relievers as the label directs. Please be sure to swallow the medication rather than placing a tablet like aspirin directly against the gums, as this can cause unnecessary irritation to your delicate tissues.

Whatever Happened, We’re Ready

When a dull ache turns into something that you can no longer ignore, you do not have to sit with the pain or figure it out alone. Our team is here to help.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my dental issue is a true emergency?

A true emergency involves severe signs like uncontrollable bleeding, a knocked-out tooth, or facial swelling that requires immediate professional care. If you are worried about any sudden change in your smile, the best thing to do is call us so we can personally guide you on the safest next steps.

Taking an over-the-counter pain reliever is a great first step to help ease your discomfort while you wait for your visit. For extra comfort, try resting with your head propped up on an extra pillow to reduce the pressure and apply a cool compress to your cheek until we can get you into the office.

If you notice swelling in your face or gums, it is a clear signal that your body needs our help to safely clear up an infection. Please focus on keeping the area clean with gentle rinses and avoid any attempt to treat it yourself so we can get you feeling better as quickly as possible.

While we understand the urge to fix a missing crown quickly, please skip the household glue to protect your sensitive tooth and the restoration from harsh chemicals. A simple dab of toothpaste or temporary dental cement is a much safer way to hold the crown in place until we can fix it for you.
